El Jay Icon Maker

The El Jay Icon Maker was created for use with LiveJournal but the icons that are created can be used with any site that requires avatars to be smaller than 100x100.

To get started, upload an image from your computer, or enter the URL to an image that is online.

If you're happy with your icon as is, click the "finish" button to upload your icon. Otherwise, use the options above to modify your image.

It is recommended you rotate and/or crop your image BEFORE adding text and/or borders. If you crop your image AFTER you've added text or borders you may lose the text and borders.

If you make a change to the icon that you don't like you can undo your most recent change. If you find that you are unhappy with the icon all together you can click the start over button and start from scratch. You can even press start over after you have clicked the finish button.

To select the area to crop click and drag the top left and/or the bottom right corner. When you are happy with the crop area, click "crop" to apply it to your icon.
